Duration:
12 months full time
180 credits:
60 credits: Principal Study (compulsory)
30 credits: Recording Project (compulsory)
30 credits: Repertoire Studies (compulsory)
30 credits: Practical Pedagogy (compulsory)
Plus 30 credits (i.e. a single course unit) to be selected from a range of range of practical options

This programme offers an exciting suite of courses aimed at students wishing to attain a Master’s level qualification with an emphasis on the advanced practical skills expected of those entering the musical profession. Students will:
- receive weekly instrumental tuition from the RNCM’s team of internationally-acclaimed tutors;
- have the opportunity to participate in masterclasses with distinguished visiting artists;
- work with professional producers to create a demonstration standard recording showcasing their work;
- learn how to teach musicians across a range of age and ability through practical work directed by teaching professionals;
- build on their knowledge of the stylistic and interpretative challenges in a range of repertories and traditions within Western art music.
