29 November > 4 December 2010

The second RNCM James Mottram International Piano Competition will take place at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, UK, between Monday 29 November and Saturday 4 December 2010.

It is thanks to a generous bequest from the late James Mottram that we are able to present this competition together with a series of masterclasses. In accordance with the wishes of James Mottram, the competition has a particular focus on the works of Scarlatti, Chopin and Debussy. There is both a
19 > 25 category and an under 19 category, and the final rounds of both these categories will be accompanied by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

The jury of the competition will consist of:

Dimitry Bashkirov
Boris Berman
Andrzej Jasinski
Leslie Howard
John O’Conor
Jerome Rose
