Access and Contacts

Anyone is welcome to use the Archives for their research. An appointment is necessary for consulting original documents. It is usually helpful to make enquiries at least a couple of weeks before the date you would like to visit so that the Archivist can advise you of relevant materials and make arrangements in advance to enable you to maximise your time at the RNCM. The normal Library opening hours are followed, and there are special rules for the use of archival material.

The Archivist may undertake a certain level of research free of charge: generally it is possible to do research lasting up to one hour. However, before getting in touch it is worth searching the online catalogue. You may also find it helpful to look at the overview of Archives holdings (link below), and the answers to some FAQs.
