RNCM Gold Medal performers announced

The 12 RNCM students who will perform at the RNCM’s Gold Medal Weekend on 11-13 June have been announced. The applications were assessed by external adjudicator Rosemary Pickering, Chief Executive of the Young Concert Artists Trust for 16 years.

The successful candidates are:

Steven Hickey - guitar
Maya Irgalina - piano
Yusuke Kinoshita - viola
Holly Melia - flute
Heider Nasralla - trombone
Mikhail Nemtsov - cello
Olga Paliy - piano
Sophie Rosa - violin
Kathryn Rudge - mezzo-soprano
Joris Vandenberg - cello

The event offers the very highest platform in professional recital performance to the students. The successful candidates will now go on to perform full-length solo recitals in the RNCM Concert Hall over the weekend of 11-13 June.

In addition three RNCM student composers, Steven Jackson, Emma-Ruth Richards and Duncan Ward, will receive a commission for three of the candidates, which will have their premières over the course of the weekend.
