James Mottram International Piano Competition 2010
The second RNCM James Mottram International Piano Competition took
place at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, UK, between
Monday 29 November and Saturday 4 December 2010.
It was
thanks to a generous bequest from the late James Mottram that we were
able to present this competition together with a series of
masterclasses. In accordance with the wishes of James Mottram, the
competition had a particular focus on the works of Scarlatti, Chopin and
Debussy. There was both a 19 > 25 category and an under 19 category,
and the final rounds of both these categories were accompanied by the
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
