Alumna is Rambert’s New Music Fellow

Alumna Anna Appleby has been appointed Rambert’s new Music Fellow.

Anna, who completed her Master’s in Composition this year, will now work with the London-based company for one year, composing, arranging and orchestrating music for its contemporary dance work.

She said: ‘I have learned so much during my time at RNCM and I feel that I owe my current successes to the fantastic educational experience I have had here.

‘The opportunity to work with world-class choreographers and dancers is a life-changing one for me. My dream for the past six years has been to compose for the stage, and this is the most exciting chance I’ve had yet in this field.’

Supported by PRS for Music and the Harold Hyam Wingate Foundation, Rambert launched its Music Fellowship in 2010 as part of its commitment to developing future generations of artists. Anna is the sixth recipient to date, joining a list which also includes alumni Gavin Higgins and Kate Whitley.
