The RNCM Archives is pleased to announce its involvement in this year's Manchester Histories Festival (see here for further Festival details).  Our display on 3 March will feature a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the publication of Walter Carroll's 'Scenes at a Farm' music for children, information about the history of the College, and details about the Collection of Historic Musical Instruments.

The Archives is running an oral history project and we would be delighted to hear from anyone who has memories of the RNCM (or its predecessors the Royal Manchester College of Music or the Northern School of Music) - whether as staff member, student, or concert attendee.  For further information please click here

During the closure of Manchester Central Library, selected items from the Henry Watson Music Library, relating to the history of music in Manchester, are available to researchers at the RNCM Archives.  A list of the collection has now been compiled and and you can view this here .  You can arrange to view items from the collection by contacting the College Archivist and Records Manager using the contact details below.
