We provide some of the most talented young musicians from the UK and around the world with specialist music education. Quite simply many of these students would not be able to take up their places at the College without the financial support that we receive from the individuals, trusts and businesses who so generously help ease financial burdens and allow our students to concentrate on their music and let their talents be nurtured.

The classical music world rarely rewards the work and talent of our young musicians financially and the College receives no statutory funding to help students with study or living costs. So, we are indebted to all those who can make such a difference by giving to the RNCM.

After four years as a UK/EU undergraduate the greatest need for our graduates is help towards financing postgraduate fees. This may be for one or two years. Our international students also need support throughout their studies here and we strive to match our talented students with appropriate financial support. Each year this becomes a more pressing need and we are very grateful for any support you can give.

RNCM Student Awards Fund

The Students Awards Fund is a registered charity offering scholarships to exceptionally talented students who need support with their fees and sometimes living expenses. Supporting a student in this way means that the College can claim Gift Aid on eligible donations, thus increasing the value of the donation. Gifts of any size are welcome and valuable.  It is also possible to give a half or full fee scholarship to support a student through a named award, perhaps to remember a loved one.

To make a gift, download the Gift Form to the left of the page – or to discuss a named award, contact Daniel Porter-Jones, Deputy Director of Development at daniel.porter-jones@rncm.ac.uk or call 0161 907 5392.

To find out more about supported students at the RNCM, why not come along to one of our Friends events where you will have the opportunity to meet current supported students and can find out more about playing your part. You can join the RNCM Friends here.
