Tim Burgess is pleased to announce more live dates for 2013 after a fantastic 2012. His autobiography Telling Stories sold over 20,000 copies, his latest solo album ‘Oh No I Love You’ was released to across the board critical acclaim and his UK tour culminated in a stunning sold out show at The Union Chapel, featuring a string section and a gospel choir.
The new dates kick off with an intimate show for NME at the Dalston venue Birthday’s on Feb 21st followed by regional shows in Manchester, Norwich and Bournemouth. The band then head out to Europe in May for a string of dates returning to play at the Field Day festival on May 25th. On June 23rd Tim and his band play a very special show at The Barbican in London with friend and collaborator Kurt Wagner and his band Lambchop. Wagner, who wrote the lyrics for Tim’s current album, will open the show with his band and then join Tim to perform songs from ‘Oh No I Love You’. Added to the wealth of musicianship within each band Tim will also be joined by his string section and gospel choir once more.
Tim will be performing with The Charlatans guitarist Mark Collins, Martin Duffy from Primal Scream on keyboards, as well as Toby Kidd on bass, Finn Kidd on drums and David Claxton on guitar from Hatcham Social.
Hatcham Social will also be supporting for all dates of the tour.
