Chinese percussionist Le Yu is an RNCM International Tutor in Marimba and a member of the Aurora Percussion Duo with alumna Delia Stevens. He was a soloist with the World Percussion Group and is invited regularly to perform across Europe and Asia.
A 2012 graduate, his list of awards include the Gold Medal of the China National Youth Percussion Competition, the 7th Italian International Percussion Competition, and First Prize in the Yamaha Foundation of Europe Scholarship Awards.
As a concerto soloist, Le Yu has performed at venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, Xi’an Concert Hall and Yamaha Hall in Tokyo.
He is a Yamaha New Artist and Sabian Artist, and is endorsed by Encore Mallets.
