Tomasz Marut was born in 1996 in Poland. He is studying for his PhD under the supervision of Professor Paweł Zawadzki at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music, where he also completed his master’s degree with distinction, having previously attended the Karol Szymanowski School of Music in Wrocław.

He regularly performs recitals and concerts with orchestra in Poland, Germany, France, Austria, Ukraine, Croatia and the United Arab Emirates. He has collaborated with conductors such as Mario Venzago, Marek Pijarowski, Przemysław Neumann, Roman Rewakowicz.

He has won prizes in numerous competitions, including the Arthur Rubinstein in Memoriam International Piano Competition for Young Pianists in Bydgoszcz (Poland), Concours International de Piano Ville de Gagny (France) and National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition (Poland). He performed as one of Poland’s representatives at the 18th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw (Poland, 2021).

His discography includes two albums of works by Frédéric Chopin, Ferenc Liszt and Franz Schubert released by the Ferenc Liszt Society; these were released in 2021 and 2022.
