Salary Grade: Grade 8a, SCP 36 to 39, £38,833 to £42,418 (actual pro rata salary £11,692.61 to £12772.05) per annum (pending pay review)

The Royal Northern College of Music is a leading international conservatoire, training students to world-class levels in music through a specialised learning programme of the highest quality, delivered by internationally renowned teachers and underpinned by a unique artistic programme of performances.

We are looking for a College Counsellor to provide counselling support to students.

The post-holder will provide one-to-one counselling to students for 12 hours per week, for 40 weeks per year (within and around term time and holiday periods within the academic year).

The post-holder will provide support in conjunction with the two other college counsellors, aiming to provide a full-time service across each week. The post-holder will report directly to the Head of Registry, and will be part of the wider student support and wellbeing team. The position is available for evening counselling cover between 5pm-8pm, Monday to Friday (exact hours to be discussed on appointment).
