One of the world’s finest programmes for conductors, the RNCM Junior Fellowship in Conducting offers a unique opportunity to work alongside professional conductors and orchestras over a two year period.

Learning from Sir Mark Elder, Clark Rundell and Mark Heron, the successful candidate will gain practical experience conducting RNCM orchestras and ensembles, assist conductors at the BBC Philharmonic, Hallé, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata orchestras, conduct at least one performance each year of an RNCM Opera production, and take part in masterclasses with internationally-renowned guest conductors.

The Fellowship offers a yearly stipend of £10,500 and, upon completion, an RNCM Postgraduate Diploma (International Artist).

Applications are open for graduates of any nationality with professional conducting experience.
