Salary Grade: Grade 7, SCP 32-35, £37,474 to £40,931 per annum

The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) is one of the world’s leading and most dynamic music conservatoires and live music venues situated in the heart of the vibrant cosmopolitan City of Manchester.
As the Research and Enterprise (Knowledge Exchange) Manager, you will have responsibility for providing research administration support for the RNCM Research and Enterprise Team. As part of a new team, the post-holder will work closely with the Director of Research, Associate Director of Research and Head of Enterprise-Academic to ensure the College fulfils its strategic priorities for research and enterprise in line with the aspirations set out in its Strategic Plan.
Keeping fully abreast of the wider Higher Education Research and Enterprise landscape, the post-holder will take an active role in the preparation of statutory and regulatory returns, periodic national assessment exercises, Research and Enterprise grant applications by assisting in collating and analysing data, advising on budgets, and support evaluation, monitoring and reporting processes. Responsible for co-ordinating Research and Enterprise events, the post-holder will work in close liaison with the Marketing and Student Recruitment Team to ensure the College’s Research and Enterprise activities and achievements are promoted effectively to key internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should demonstrate experience of research and/or enterprise management in Higher Education, preferably in the Arts and Humanities or equivalent sector and knowledge of UK and European research funding including UKRI.
This appointment will be part of a new team in which the post-holder will be central to the development of the role.
