We are looking to appoint a full-time term time only Senior Tutor (repetiteur/music staff) in the School of Vocal Studies and Opera at the Royal Northern College of Music. The post will commence at the beginning of the next academic year in September 2018.

School of Vocal Studies and Opera has a long-established and exceptional reputation as one of Europe’s leading Vocal departments, with a highly acclaimed tutorial staff.

As a result of continuing growth of the department, we are seeking to appoint a senior tutor who will contribute to the training of our students and support the administration and strategic management of the school.

Contributing to the delivery of the performance curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate level, you will deliver one-to-one/ensemble repertoire coaching and/or performance-based classes and will assist in the preparation of students for a range of college activities.

We welcome applications from individuals who have an established international reputation as a performer/musician and/or teacher with a proven record of industry and professional success. The applicant should have an extensive knowledge of the vocal and operatic repertoire with a good working knowledge of the necessary languages in this area. The applicant should be an accomplished keyboard player/repetiteur/vocal coach/accompanist and should have good IT skills and be willing to undertake departmental organisational and scheduling responsibilities.
