Student Information Analyst (Statutory Returns)

Salary Grade: Grade 6a, scale points 24 to 27, £27,285 to £29,799 per annum

The Royal Northern College of Music is seeking an experienced Student Information Analyst, which is a key role within the College’s dynamic Business Systems and Development Unit.

You will be responsible for the submission of the statutory returns to HESA and HEFCE, accountable for the operational aspects of the student database, monitoring data integrity, responding to data requests and providing Management Information reports for strategic decision support and external agencies.

The role requires extensive experience of using a student records system, direct experience of processing student statutory returns, a proven ability to work with data rigorously and experience of successfully undertaking quantitative data analysis, meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality, and the skills to independently identify operational issues and resolve data errors.

The candidate we are seeking will be an experienced analyst excellent working knowledge of the student record lifecycle and the ability to manage the integrity of the student data and associated processes, with an emphasis on statutory reporting and data quality. You will have a track record that demonstrates an analytical approach to problem solving and advanced data manipulation skills. You must be highly organised, possess first-rate communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
