Frances looks after the BMus and GRNCM programmes, predominantly for year 3 & 4 students. Her role includes assessment coordination, Board of Examiners preparation, professional placement and general module administration. Frances can be reached on 0161 907 5260 and [email protected]. Frances trained as a violinist who graduated with a First Class Honours BA Mus (Hons) degree from Leeds College of Music. At Leeds, Frances was awarded both the Fred and Ethel Tolsen Memorial Prize for Strings and the Joseph Stones Prize for Upper Strings. 

After graduation, she then went onto gain a Musicology Masters degree from The University of Leeds. As a Musicologist, Frances specialises in 16th Century music copyright and printing within Italy and its surrounding European influences. Her dissertation focused on the development of the Trio Sonata in Italy and its dissemination accross Europe.

Before working at RNCM, Frances was the Development and Events Coordinator for the chamber orchestra, Manchester Camerata. There, she managed the individual giving scheme and organised events across the concert season.
