About
We’re delighted to welcome Henning Kraggerud, our International Chair in Violin, for an evening of imaginative reinterpretations with the RNCM String Orchestra. Recognised as one of Norway’s foremost international performers and composers, Kraggerud is celebrated for his creative approach to music-making. He seamlessly blends virtuosic playing with improvisation and often invites audiences to shape the direction of a performance.
His carefully curated programme to reflect our Dance:Music theme spans centuries. It features works that range from the delicate elegance of Bach’s Goldberg Variations to the nostalgic charm of Kreisler’s Liebesleid. Kraggerud’s own Variation Suite offers a modern reimagining of classical styles, while Grieg’s Holberg Suite highlights the folkloric textures of Scandinavian heritage mixed with Baroque dances. Each work reflects a new way of exploring tradition, making this a concert that bridges past and present with effortless artistry.
