Discover the rich tapestry of our Wind Orchestra as we unravel its bluesy tones and jazzy textures.  

Setting the stage, Bernstein’s Prelude, Fugue, & Riffs unleashes the sounds of swing including a sensational clarinet solo played by our International Chair in Clarinet Gábor Varga. The journey continues with James Lee III’s Clarinet Concerto bookended by new works from a student and an alumnus before embarking on Enrique Hernandis Martinez’s Las Tijeras de Matisse.  

Finally, a tribute to big bands’ distinctive blues palette closes this colourful expedition in Frank Ticheli’s Blue Shades.
