Due to restrictions associated with Covid-19, RNCM Opera’s production of The Cunning Little Vixen will be presented for student assessment only, without a public audience. Our Box Office team will be in touch via phone and email to provide refunds where necessary. Please keep an eye on our social media channels for production photography and related video content later in the year.

Inspired by a newspaper comic strip about a scheming Vixen, Janáček‘s enchanting masterpiece is a humorous, profound, and life-affirming meditation on the wonder of nature. It is a celebration of the eternal renewal of the circle of life and is one of the twentieth century’s most evocative operas.

Human and animal worlds collide when the Forester meets the young Vixen Sharp Ears in the woods. We follow the adventures of this feisty creature and see her embark on a journey of liberation and freedom.

This new production will be sung in English with surtitles.
