Thursday Lunchtimes: Anna Clyne In Focus
Thursday 19 January 2023, 1.15pm
RNCM Concert Hall

Our celebration of Anna and her works launches with an innovative exploration of electroacoustic chamber music, redefining the relationship between music and technology.
Described as ‘bracingly modern yet with elements that seem to conjure up the distant musical past’ (Chicago Classical Review), the afternoon opens with Anna Clyne’s Fits + Starts – a piece that uses acoustic recordings of harpsichord, cello, and viola, which have been layered and manipulated to form the backdrop for the solo cellist.
This cutting-edge programme also sees a new work by RNCM student James Weatherley-Buss exploring the sound world of flute and electronics.
Discover both events in our In Focus festival and experience the future of music.
