About The Sylvia Swiffin Trust

The aim of the Trust is to help children and young people appreciate and enjoy music.

We support children of any age and award prizes and a small bursary to the Junior RNCM as well as, at this time, three special project awards for schools.

We are the partner charitable trust of Tameside Music Service, supporting short and long term projects including awarding funding to gifted and talented pupils and those living with economic deprivation. We also support outstanding progress and performance, and award an annual prize to a primary school in Tameside that develops music education.

All of our work is to benefit the development of music in individual children and support as much as possible the wider belief that music matters.
