The members of the ensemble VOCES8 are in their 20s and 30s and bring a completely fresh approach to a capella singing.
In tonight’s programme, they explore an incredibly diverse collection of choral music inspired by dance. You’ll hear unusual arrangements of songs by writers ranging from William Byrd and Benjamin Britten, to Duke Ellington and Van Morrison, to Simon and Garfunkel and even Justin Bieber!
Signed to the Decca label, the group has been enjoying lots of radio exposure and we’re particularly excited as soprano Eleonore Cockerham has recently joined the line-up straight from finishing her studies at the RNCM. So please come along to help us to cheer her on!
