The Vintage Explosion, aka singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Will Hitchell, ignited the global stage in late 2022 when his soul-soaked rendition of Sam Cooke’s A Change Is Gonna Come went viral amassing over 1 billion views and impressions across TikTok, Facebook, and beyond. What followed has been nothing short of explosive.

This powerhouse Scottish artist and his band have rocketed up the charts with four No 1 albums on the Worldwide Apple Blues Chart, a No 3 spot on the overall Worldwide Apple Album Chart, nestled between Taylor Swift and Arctic Monkeys, and major placements including the US Billboard Blues Top 10 and the Official UK Top 40. The band’s ferocious live energy has fuelled a sold-out 14-date UK & Ireland tour, a standout debut on ITV’s This Morning, and BBC’s Big Birthday Bash.

A debut album of ten self-penned modern classics Havin’ Such a Good Time, shot straight to No 1 on the Apple Blues Chart. Featuring the hit singles Don’t Knock Upon My Door and Take My Troubles Away, the album was hailed by Vintage Rock Magazine as ’a stunning debut, pinballing across genres.’

The band’s live reputation continues to soar, with 2500-seat venues selling out months in advance. Their recent single I Can’t Get Enough of Lovin’ You hit No 1 on the Apple Soul Chart (June 2025), while Hitchell captured top honours at the International Songwriting Competition, beating over 14,000 global entries with his ballad ‘Sweet Love’.
