We’re delighted to welcome audiences back to the RNCM Saxophone Day, now in its 21st year.
One of the most popular events we stage here during the year, RNCM Saxophone Day is the UK’s largest annual sax gathering. We throw open our doors and welcome players of all ages and abilities and present a day jam-packed with participatory workshops and concerts, alongside a trade exhibition.
We kick off the proceedings – and give everyone the chance to play – with the now legendary Massed Saxophone Orchestra. We’ll be splitting into two groups this year to allow for more space between players. This year, we are proudly focusing on the saxophone department, and our lunchtime concert will feature our fantastic RNCM saxophone staff and students in a specially curated programme to celebrate the return of Saxophone Day. The day’s headline concert sees saxophonist Iain Dixon, the newest addition to the RNCM’s world class teaching roster, bring his stellar quartet to the stage.

We hope you can join us for this year’s event.
