Salary Grade: £27,979 to £30,487 per annum

The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Programming Administrator to join the RNCM’s Performance and Programming team, a creative department at the heart of the College which looks after performances by students and visiting guest artist across its three main venues. This is a great opportunity to build on your knowledge of programming for a public audience in a busy, complex and vibrant environment, working within a small, friendly team.
Reporting to the Programming Manager, the role is involved in the programming, scheduling and reconciliation of RNCM-promoted events within the College’s performance programme, liaising with a number of internal teams, including Orchestras and Ensembles, Technical and Production, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Conferencing and Catering, to ensure that events run smoothly. The role also liaises with many external parties, including artists, agents, publishers, promoters, touring companies and broadcasters.
The Programming Administrator will also take a lead role in the programming and development of student-led performance opportunities (Spotlights, Monday Lunchtimes, Lab Week), the production of print and digital event programmes, and the development of spoken presentation within events.
The successful candidate must have experience of working in an arts administration environment, and an interest in a broad range of music genres, with a good knowledge of Western classical music (including repertoire and performing artists).
You must be committed to supporting the College in its belonging, equality, diversity and inclusion practices, and be willing to work some evenings and weekends as planned in advance by rota.
