Spot the difference

Thursday 15 November’s fabulous 40th anniversary opening concert at the RNCM marked the beginning of the College’s birthday celebrations by reproducing the programme from the College’s opening concert, 40 years ago (7 November 1972).

This was the first time the programme was actually performed in its proper location, however, as 40 years ago the College Concert Hall wasn’t ready, and so the performance was moved to the Town Hall.

Reproduced above are the two programmes, the first from 7 November 1972 and the second from 15 November 2012.

What a remarkable reproduction by our graphic designer, Phil Wood, who used the original programme from the Archives as his template.
