Garage Classical at the Hammersmith Apollo

Following their sell-out gig at The Barbican in July, the fantastic Ignition Orchestra is back in action this month, presenting a festive Garage Classical night at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Established by Popular Music lecturer Katie Chatburn in association with the RNCM, the 36-piece Ignition Orchestra features students and alumni who present UK garage hits like you’ve never heard them before.

Garage Classical is the brainchild of DJ Spoony, one of the founding fathers and instrumental players in a movement that defined a generation. In collaboration with Katie, the show features 24 of the biggest Garage anthems, stripped back and performed live with the original vocalists. Hits include 21 Seconds, You’re Moving too Fast and With a Little Bit of Luck.

The Hammersmith Apollo gig takes place on Friday 14 December. Learn more here.
