Katie Lowe wins Elizabeth Connell Prize

Congratulations to 2016 alumna Katie Lowe, winner of the Elizabeth Connell Prize for Aspiring Dramatic Sopranos.

Established in memory of the late South African dramatic soprano Elizabeth Connell, the competition is open to professional and non-professional sopranos of all nationalities between the ages of 25 and 34.

Katie, who was recently signed to IMG Artists for general management, was one of five singers to make it through to the final, which took place in Sydney and was judged by Maestro Richard Bonynge AC CBE. Her success included 30,000 AUD (approx. £18,000) and an audition at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
