Congratulations to third year undergraduate Peter McDonough on his appointment as Principal Euphonium with the Eccles Borough Band.
Having started out in the Cardiff County youth bands, Peter began senior banding at the age of 14, joining the Tongwynlais Band in 2012. He is also Principal Euphonium of the National Youth Band and Wind Orchestra of Wales, and the European Youth Brass Band in Ostend.
Peter replaces fellow student Melvin Tay, who is currently working towards a Master’s in Performance, specialising in Conducting, after graduating this year with a BMus (Hons) degree.
