RNCM welcomes Norwegian Academy students

We were thrilled to welcome and host Jonas Bylund and brass students from the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH) last week.

Over three days, guests took part in classes, masterclasses and rehearsals alongside RNCM musicians, before performing in a joint concert, directed by Nicholas Thompson, Head of the School of Wind, Brass and Percussion, and Jonas, a Professor of Trombone at the Academy.

Professor Linda Merrick, Principal, said: ‘Collaboration and partnership are vital elements to conservatoire training and we are proud that NHM is not only one of the RNCM’s key partners, but also a member of our International Benchmarking Group.

‘I would like to thank everyone, both on and off stage, who have ensured the success of this important collaboration and very much look forward to repeating the occasion in future years.’
