Alumna Wins BFS’s Young Artist Competition
RNCM alumna Amy Yule has won the Young Artist Prize at this year’s British Flute Society competition.
Taking place at Regent Hall, London, last month, the British Flute Society competition is divided into three categories, two for school performers aged 18 and under and one – the Young Artist – for players aged 19 – 24.
The 2017 Young Artist category featured two RNCM flautists: Amy, who graduated in 2015, and fourth year undergraduate Meera Maharaj. Amy’s prize included an alto flute, kindly donated by Trevor James (pictured above).
