RNCM Cellist Awarded Prestigious Scholarship

Postgraduate cellist Abel Selaocoe has been awarded the Biddy Baxter and John Hosier Music Trust 2016 Scholarship.

Allocated annually to one student from all UK conservatoires, the scholarship – this year totalling £8000 – provides financial support to outstanding young musicians who wish to further their studies.

Professor Linda Merrick, RNCM Principal, said: ‘The Biddy Baxter and John Hosier Music Trust scholarship is one of the most sought after in conservatoire education. Abel is an exceptional cellist and a worthy recipient. I warmly congratulate him on this fantastic news.’
