Eminent vocal alumni in live cinema broadcast from the Met

The stellar cast of Thomas Adès’s opera The Exterminating Angel features a host of familiar names from the RNCM

To mark its American première, the much-anticipated opera is being broadcast live in HD from the Met tomorrow to cinemas around the world – including one in Manchester.

Among the cast are RNCM President and alumnus Sir John Tomlinson, plus alumni Alice Coote, Christine Rice and Amanda Echalaz.

Inspired by the classic Luis Buñuel film of the same name, the opera is a surreal fantasy about a dinner party from which the guests can’t escape.

The Exterminating Angel will be showing at the Vue Cinema in the Printworks, Manchester at 5.55pm on Saturday 18 November and tickets can be booked here.
