Kathryn Stott joins School of Keyboard Studies
We’re pleased to announce that Kathryn Stott will join our School of Keyboard Studies in September as a Senior Tutor in Piano Studies.
A resident of Manchester, Kathryn has enjoyed a strong relationship with the College for a number of years, most recently as International Chair in Piano Studies. In her new position, she’ll work regularly with RNCM pianists, both in one-to-one tuition and small group classes, while continuing to present masterclasses to the School as a whole.
She said: ‘I‘ve had the most wonderful five years working with young pianists at the RNCM in my role as International Chair, so it’s really an exciting progression to now be appointed Senior Tutor and have regular input into this vibrant piano department.’
A passionate performer and educator, Kathryn has developed a prolific career as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. She is artistic director of the annual Australian Chamber Music Festival and has performed and recorded with cellist Yo-Yo Ma for over 30 years.
