Rebecca Tong wins La Maestra Paris

Huge congratulations to Rebecca Tong, winner of the inaugural La Maestra Paris conducting competition for female conductors.

A collaboration between the Philharmonie de Paris and the Paris Mozart Orchestra, this new competition showcased 12 candidates of the highest calibre, following a carefully-management selection process.

In addition to the €20,000 top prize, Rebecca – a recent graduate of the RNCM’s Junior Fellowship in Conducting – also won the Arte Prize and the French Concert Halls and Orchestras Prize, which offer professional engagements and career support.

The competition took place between 15 – 18 September at the Philharmonie de Paris and was judged by six of the world’s leading male and female conductors. Learn more here.
