RNCM, ABRSM and RSM Launch New Website
The RNCM, together with the ABRSM and Royal Schools of Music, has launched a new website to promote the UK as a leading destination for music education.
The Royal Schools of Music, which includes the RNCM alongside the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, are renowned for attracting talented students, teachers, conductors and composers from all over the world, while the ABRSM is the UK’s largest music education organisation and a global leader in the provision of music exams offering assessments to more than 630,000 candidates in over 90 countries.
Michael Elliott, ABRSM’s Chief Executive, said, ‘We’re delighted to launch this new website with our Royal Schools partners as we share a common goal to inspire and support the next generation of musicians. The UK is recognised as a global centre of musical excellence, attracting students from all backgrounds around the world to study here. This website showcases what we have to offer to international students.’
Professor Linda Merrick, RNCM Principal, added: ‘The RNCM is proud of its position as a leading provider of music education, both in the UK and internationally. Through this unique partnership we are able to strengthen our reach further, ensuring that more talented young musicians are aware of the excellent teaching and performing opportunities available at our conservatoires.’
As world leaders in music education, the distinctive partnership between the Royal Schools of Music and ABRSM builds new opportunities for all to learn, create and embrace the transformative power of music. Together we inspire, nurture and celebrate enjoyment and excellence in music-making from early learning to the highest levels of performance.
