RNCM Achieves 100% in 2016 DLHE Survey

The RNCM has achieved 100% in the 2016 Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey.

The outstanding result indicates that the College’s 2014/15 graduates are either working or undertaking further study six months after graduation.

Professor Linda Merrick, RNCM Principal, said: ‘Graduate employability is something that we continue to take very seriously at the RNCM, and we are thrilled to have achieved 100% in the 2016 survey.

‘Through initiatives such as The Platform, our international centre for orchestra, ensemble and vocal training, we offer young musicians from all over the world unparalleled placement and work experience opportunities with top orchestras, ensembles, opera companies and opera studios across Europe.

‘This is very attractive to students, and is something that will equip them for the music profession and greatly enhance their future employability. It’s about establishing external connections, encouraging students to develop their own projects, embedding entrepreneurial skills throughout the curriculum, and preparing our graduates for a changing musical world.’

The results of the 2016 survey were officially released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency last month. More information can be found here.
