RNCM alum ‘The Naked Pianist’ named Young Classical Star of the Week on Classic FM
Manny Vass aka The Naked Pianist is the ‘Young Classical Star’ of the week, as featured on Charlotte Hawkins’ Smooth Classics programme last Sunday on Classic FM.
The 31-tear-old pianist earned the title after a busy few months, on June 19 releasing his third album, The Naked Pianist:
In May, Manny was also featured on Britain’s Got Talent and stripped down to orange Speedos on Channel 4’s First Dates Hotel.
Born in Manila in the Philippines and raised in East Yorkshire, Manny started learning piano at age five. He trained at Yorkshire Young Musicians, followed by the Leeds College of Music and the RNCM. He has become a lecturer in music business and marketing, and continues collaborating with the RNCM, having recently given a Zoom lecture to our keyboard students during lockdown.
