RNCM announces partnership with nkoda

The RNCM is pleased to announce a new partnership with nkoda, providing staff and students with access to 500 years of sheet music.

Described as Spotify for scores, nkoda was founded by Lorenzo Brewer at the age of 19 and now boasts almost 100,000 titles on its platform. It’s also the first and only company to license the entire catalogues of over 115 publishers including Boosey & Hawkes, Breitkopf, Chester, Ricordi, Faber, and Novello.

Professor Linda Merrick, Principal, said: ‘Over the past few months the College has invested heavily in the high specification tools and infrastructure to ensure that students continue to receive exceptional and innovative teaching online.

We are dedicated to enhancing our resources wherever possible and our new partnership with nkoda is testament to that.’

Used in 110 countries, nkoda has received support from artists across the industry, including Sir Simon Rattle, Joyce DiDonato, and Ludovico Einaudi, the world’s most streamed classical artist.

Lorenzo Brewer, nkoda CEO, added: ‘We’re really proud to have the chance to work with the RNCM, providing their students and teachers with access to the nkoda service. The RNCM has been home to many musicians who have inspired us – for me that’s especially true of the amazing new music made at the conservatoire. We hope that the next generation of RNCM musicians who learn, practice and perform in this amazing institution will find nkoda helpful, and use it in ways we can’t even imagine.’

nkoda will be available to all RNCM staff and students soon.
