RNCM Baritone is 2015 Northern Ireland Opera Voice

Postgraduate baritone Aaron O’Hare has won the title of Northern Ireland Opera Voice of 2015.

Forming part of Northern Ireland Opera’s Festival of Voice, the annual competition combines public recitals with tuition and masterclasses for five of the most promising young Irish singers, who then compete in a Gala Final for the title of Northern Ireland Opera Voice.

Aaron, who is currently working towards a postgraduate diploma after graduating with an MMus in Solo Performance, said: ‘It was an absolute honour to have won NI Opera’s Voice of 2015. It was a fantastic weekend of coaching with David Gowland (ROH), Kathyrn Harries (NOS) and Iain Burnside and fellow competitors. I’m really excited and privileged to represent Northern Ireland Opera in the year ahead!’
