RNCM Entrepreneurship Award Winners 2020

Launched in 2016, the RNCM Entrepreneurship Award is an opportunity for students to win a financial award and mentor support for projects and businesses they are developing.

This year’s final took place on 29 June, with the six finalists pitching ideas in a Dragon’s Den-style final, in the hope of being awarded up to £1,000 for their projects. The expert panel was made up of Michelle Phillips (RNCM), Lisa McMullan (The Women’s Organisation), Michelle Wright (Cause4) and Adam Szabo (Manchester Collective). Due to social distancing restrictions, the final took place online and live-streamed over YouTube:

Winner with special commendation: Zara Wardrop
Winner of the Yamaha RNCM Entrepreneurship Award: Corben Lamb
Winner: Daniel Tarrant
Runners up (mentoring award): Amy Webber, Richard Walsh, Josep Morato Martinez

Zara’s and Daniel’s awards will be funded by the Principal’s Circle, while Yamaha is supporting Corben’s award. The runners up will benefit from additional mentoring.
