RNCM Professors to perform in Seoul for BIEK Global Arts Week 2026
Professors from the RNCM’s School of Keyboard Studies will head to South Korea this summer as part of BIEK Global Arts Week 2026, a major week‑long programme of performance, education, and cultural exchange in Seoul.
Taking place from 27 Jul to 1 Aug at the Rode Arts Center, the initiative is delivered in partnership with BIEK (British International Education Korea) and brings together leading UK conservatoire teaching with emerging musical talent across Korea.

Professors Simon Callaghan and Graham Scott (Head of Keyboard Studies) will travel to Seoul to play a central role in the programme. Alongside performing in a faculty concert (alongside alumni Jaekyung Yoo and Yoonjee Kim), they will deliver masterclasses, adjudicate the RNCM Seoul International Piano Competition, and work closely with participants throughout the week.
The programme combines a range of activity – including competition rounds, masterclasses, performances, and auditions – designed to give young musicians direct access to world‑class conservatoire training without the need to travel overseas.
BIEK Global Arts Week reflects the RNCM’s ongoing commitment to international collaboration and to widening access to high‑level music education. By connecting students in Korea with the RNCM’s distinguished faculty, the initiative supports artistic development, cultural exchange and future study pathways in the UK.
