RNCM shortlisted for two Times Higher Education Awards
We’re proud to share that the RNCM has been shortlisted for two Times Higher Education Awards in the Outstanding Entrepreneurial University and Outstanding Contribution to Environmental Leadership categories.
Announced today (Thursday 7 September), the THE Awards are described as the Oscars of higher education. In a record-breaking year, more than 70 universities from across the UK and Ireland entered submissions across the 20 categories, which acknowledge academic and professional services, including leadership and management.
John Gill, THE’s editor, described the shortlist as ‘a clear indicator of the great strength in depth of UK and Irish higher education’, noting that it includes ‘not only some long-established big names, but also younger, aspirational institutions, those with a community-centred civic vision, and others with a much more specialist focus – all of whom deserve wider recognition for their brilliant work’.
Nominations for Outstanding Entrepreneurial University and Outstanding Contribution to Environmental Leadership highlight the RNCM’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, empowering students to push the boundaries of traditional music practices and drive the industry of tomorrow.
The RNCM has won four THE Awards to date: Widening and Participation Initiative of the Year (2020), Outstanding International Student Strategy (2016), Excellence and Innovation in the Arts (2015), and Technological and Digital Innovation (2022).
Results for the 2023 awards will be announced at a ceremony in Liverpool in November.
