Sopranos to join National Opera Studio
Sopranos Eliza Boom and Alexandra Lowe have been offered a place to study at the National Opera Studio (NOS), commencing in September.
Established by the Arts Council as a link between music colleges and the main UK opera companies, the NOS offers professional training of the highest quality to musicians, providing tailor-made performance opportunities and invaluable coaching from some of the industry’s leading artists.
After completing the course Eliza, who graduated this summer with an International Artist Diploma, and Alexandra, who completed postgraduate studies in 2017, will join a fantastic list of NOS vocal alumni, including fellow RNCM graduates Barry Banks, Alice Coote and Joan Rodgers.
Eliza (pictured above, left) said: ‘I’m so excited to be joining the long list of talented artists who have studied at the National Opera Studio. It is an important next step in my development, a chance to get training of the highest quality and prepare for my future career in many different areas.’
