Tutor in Italian Repertoire
Antonia is a principal study vocal tutor in the School of Vocal Studies and Opera.
She is half Italian and studied singing at the Royal Northern College of Music and at the National Opera Studio during which time she won numerous awards and scholarships.
She has performed principal roles with many of the UK prinicpal opera companies, some of which include Carmen (Carmen), Amneris (Aida), Polina (Queen of Spades), Olga (Eugene Onegin), Maddalena (Rigoletto), 3rd Lady (Magic Flute), Preziosilla (La Forza del Destino), Hannah (May Night), Cornelia (Giulio Cesare), Grimgerde (Die Walkure) and Tigrana (Edgar) for Welsh National Opera, English National Opera, Opera North, Holland Park, Garsington Opera, English Touring Opera, Raymond Gubbay Productions at the Royal Albert Hall, Early Opera Company and Chelsea Opera Group.
She has also worked with Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Diva Opera, The Halle, BBC Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and has performed as a soloist at the BBC Proms.
Antonia has completed levels 1 and 2 of the Estill Method and regularly attends vocal pedagogy courses to further her professional development as a voice teacher.
Recent vocal students have secured contracts to sing with Opera Holland Park, Grange Park Opera, Buxton International Festival and Wexford Festival Opera.
