Emil Kuyumcuyan tours internationally as a solo percussionist, as a soloist with Les Percussions de Strasbourg, and as a guest performer with ensembles including Ensemble Intercontemporain, Orchestre Nationale de France, Slagwerk Den Haag, and the Staatsorchester Stuttgartt. He has won several competitions and awards including The Tromp Percussion International Competition (2016), DAAD Award (2016) and The Stockholm International Music Competition (2014) and has given masterclasses at international conservatoires including Tchaikovsky Conservatoire Moscow, Shanghai Conservatoire and EMSP, Brazil. He is currently Percussion Tutor at the Conservatoire de Laval and has composed several works for percussion with recent commissions from The Philharmonie Cologne and the IPEA Competition, Shanghai.
