Quentin Hayes

Baritone Quentin Hayes is an RNCM Principal Study Tutor within the School of Vocal Studies and Opera. He studied at Dartington Arts College, the Guildhall School of Music and the National Opera Studio on a Countess of Munster Scholarship, and won the 1992 VARA Dutch Radio Prize at the Belvedere Singing Competition in Vienna.
ln 1988 Quentin created the lead role of Eddy in Mark Anthony Turnage’s Greek at the Munich Biennale, and between 1999 and 2004 was Principal artist at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. He has undertaken a wide repertoire of rôles at leading opera houses and festivals, including Figaro for Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Garsington Opera and Grange Park Opera.
