New, Re-imagined and Modified Instruments
Tuesday 12 December 8.00pm
Carole Nash Recital Room
Programme to include:
Eleanor Cully Fixations
Amir Sadeghi Konjani New work
For the latest event in our Decontamination contemporary music series, we explore music that uses instruments in unconventional ways to produce new sounds – turning musical concepts on their heads. For example, Eleanor Cully’s Fixations is a piece of experimental sound art that provides performance directions such as: ‘hold a non-guitar in the position of a guitar and strum the body.’
