We’re delighted to welcome Manchester Camerata to perform alongside our students as Junior Fellow in Conducting Agata Zając takes the helm one final time at the RNCM.

Lasting only seven minutes, Grażyna Bacewicz’s Divermento is a whirlwind opening to this fantastic evening of music. Displaying her rhythm-driven nature and clarity of tonal colour, the piece was written just a few years before Grażyna’s death and adheres to her neoclassical inspirations.

Listeners are then invited to embark on a powerful emotional journey as concerto competition winner Ethan Gillespie performs one of Mozart’s most popular piano concertos.

Finally, Dvořák’s profoundly intimate Symphony No 7 in D minor draws this magnificent musical experience to a close. Arguably his finest symphony, it was commissioned by The Royal Philharmonic Society and is notable for its dramatic and sombre atmosphere.
